    regarding the statement in this piece about banks and their cash paranoia: APs can reduce their cash exposure by using cash for almost all purchases – grocery stores, electronics stores, furniture stores, clothing stores, etc. these businesses, hungry for sales, very rarely have any concern about large cash purchases. of course, credit card rewards are sacrificed when doing this. that loss i think of as a business expense.

    Great advice, JS. I had been aware of this option for years and was an idiot for not doing it sooner. Reading about it here somehow got me to actually follow through.
